The fourth annual US-Bangladesh Dialogue on Security Issues was held at Washington, DC recently with US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Todd Chapman and Ambassador Mizanur Rahman, Secretary (Bilateral & Consular) on the chair.
The dialogue reflects the growing defense relationship with Bangladesh, and our shared commitment to peace and prosperity in the region, says a press release.
The discussions touched on a broad range of topics, including strategic priorities and regional issues, security assistance, cyber-security, peacekeeping, military-to-military cooperation, and counter-terrorism. Participants also discussed humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, maritime and border security, and related issues.
