A delegation from Bangladesh consisting of nine Vice Chancellors, four from public and five from private universities went on a historical goodwill tour in India from 14th to 19th December this year.
Under the Ministry of External Affairs (Public Diplomacy Division), the High Commission of India arranged the program as part of its efforts to further promote educational linkages at the University level between Bangladesh and India, says a press release.
The delegation visited some of famous public and private universities in around Delhi, which include Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and OP Jindal Global University, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata, Delhi IT Park. The delegation also made courtesy call on. Minister of Human Resource Development (Education), Mr. Raj Pellai, and Mr. Salman Khurshid, External included Affairs Minister of India.
The nine members of Bangladesh included Vice Chancellors’ of SoutheastUniversity (SEU), BUET, RU, CU, ShahjalalUniversity of Science & Technology, IUB, BRAC, ULAB and State University of Bangladesh.
