VIP guests for British Bangladeshi inspiration awards at Canary Wharf

Former foreign secretary William Hague will be the guest of honour in Canary Wharf this evening (Tuesday) when the Bangladeshi community celebrates its contributions and achievements.

Canary WharfThe British Bangladeshi Power & Inspiration 2015 will recognise the success of 100 British Bangladeshi’s across 20 categories at Level39 in One Canada Square.

Other guests will include London mayoral hopeful Dame Tessa Jowell and senior representatives from the other major political parties.

For the first time, BBPI will announce a “Person of the Year” awarded to an individual for their outstanding contribution to their chosen field or profession.

Abdal Ullah, founder of the British Bangladeshi Power & Inspiration said: “Every year we discover incredible British Bangladeshi individuals making innovative and outstanding contributions to Britain.

“Our aim is to celebrate and highlight the success of these inspirational individuals as role models for all of us.”
