Voter now 123.7m ahead of Nat’l Voter Day

The total number of voters in Bangladesh has reached 123.7 million, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin announced on Sunday.

The CEC revealed the updated figure, which now stands at 123,732,274, during the inauguration of a vibrant rally in front of Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital, held to mark National Voter Day 2025.

Traditionally, the final updated voter list is published on March 2 each year, coinciding with National Voter Day. However, this year’s voter list update, which began on January 20, is still ongoing.

At the event, the CEC reaffirmed the Election Commission’s commitment to organising free, fair, and credible elections. He also called for cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure the successful achievement of this goal.
