New handset of Mango Mobile soon
To fulfill customer’s demand in an ever increasing mobile market, Mango Digital Ltd.is bringing the new ‘Mango Mobile’. The target of Mango Mobile is to provide mobile handsets having latest technology coupled with modern and aesthetic designs. Mango has created a price strategy to keep the handsets within the reach of the common people. Not only that, for ensuring after sales service, there will be 20 customer care centers and 70 collection points throughout the country. All phones from Mango comes with a one year after sales warranty.

GE to repower BPDB’s Ghorashal Station
GE (NYSE: GE), in a consortium with China National Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation, has been awarded a US$117 million order from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) for repowering Unit 3 of the Ghorashal Power Plant, the largest power station in Bangladesh, located in the Narsingdi district. This will be the first repowering project for the country and will provide a much-needed increase in power generation capacity for Bangladesh by adding more than 200 megawatts (MW) of cleaner power to the national grid.
The project calls for repowering the existing 210 MW Power Machines (LMZ 200) steam 
COTTON USA team visits Bangladesh
A delegation of COTTON USA representing the cotton industry and National Cotton Council of USA visited Bangladesh to meet and interact with Bangladesh textile and apparel industry. The delegation members were Mr. Keith Lucas- president of Cotton Council International (CCI) and leader of the delegation, Mr. Marc Lewkowitz- CEO and president of Supima, and Mr. Bruce Atherley- Executive Director of Cotton Council International.
The delegation met with Bangladesh industry leaders at a seminar on “US & Global Cotton Outlook” where the delegates made presentation on world cotton supply, US cotton growth, 
Cardiologist Dr Akhteruzzaman passes away
Renowned cardiologist and former director of National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICBD) Professor Dr. M Akhteruzzaman passed away today at Metropolitan Medical Center (MMC). He was 74.
He left behind his wife, 3 daughters, grandchildren and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Baitul Ma’mur mosque after Asr prayers. He will be buried at Banani graveyard.

LG, JAAGO to build ‘LG IT Academy’
LG Electronics Bangladesh and JAAGO Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing “LG IT ACADEMY” for the children at JAAGO School on Tuesday July 19, 2016. The initiative will facilitate the children to have ICT education for competing in the digital era.
