3-day two int’l tradeshows to begin from Thursday

A three-day two international tradeshows on building, construction and woodworking industries will start from May 26 in Dhaka.

Dhaka, May 21, 2016: Leveraging success from its first edition, more than 100 international companies from 10 countries under one roof will showcase their innovative products, latest technology, construction & building materials and woodworking machinery.

The construction industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in Bangladesh and woodworking Image 2industry also get pace in the country along with its economy, which is expected to grow at over 7% annually.

ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd in collaboration with Futurex Trade Fair & Events are organizing the 2nd edition of the tradeshows titled Bangladesh BUILDCON 2016 and JAT Presents Bangladesh WOOD 2016, which will conclude on May 28, 2016, at the International Convention City, Bashundhara. The event is supported by PHD Chamber of Commerce India.

“The exhibition will provide a good opportunity for both the exhibitors and visitors to explore and develop innovative ways of taking the construction and woodworking industries to a new height,” said Mr. Tipu Sultan Bhuyiyan, Director of the ASK Trade & Exhibitions at a press conference in a city hotel today ( May 21, 2016).

At the Bangladesh Buildcon 2016, which is solely dedicated to the fast growing building & construction industry, architecture, construction, building materials, engineering, innovation, interiors and design from leading suppliers from and Bangladesh will be showcased, according to him.

“At the JAT presents Bangladesh Wood 2016, which is the only and exclusive international tradeshow for the woodworking and furniture sector, machinery, material, tools and products related to the woodworking and furniture industry of the country will be displayed” said Mr. Namit Gupta, Director of the Futurex Trade & Events.

He said, the country’s furniture sector is expanding both locally and globally. In the 90’s the sector moved to mechanized production oriented industries. “Since then, furniture business began to grow with modern machinery, innovative designs and use of diverse materials.”

JAT presents Bangladesh Wood 2016 aims to bring the global technology and know-how to the door steps of the local industry and is targeted at the members of Bangladesh Furniture Export Association (BFEA) and Bangladesh Furniture Industries Owners Association (BFIOA).

International leading companies from China, India, Turkey, Hong Kong, USA, Sri Lanka, Austria, Malaysia, Italy and Bangladesh will take part at the show. The show will remain open between 11am to 7pm every day. Entry is free for all.
