Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd (AIBL) has provided scholarship worth 17.76 lac Taka to 231 poor and meritorious students of Kurmitola High School on Saturday (28 June 2014) under its corporate social responsibility.
Former Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun, MP presided over the ceremony while Chairman of the Bank Mr. Badiur Rahman handed over the scholarship cheques to the students. Director of the Bank Alhajj Abdul Malek Molla was present as Special Guest.
The ceremony was addressed by founder Chairman of the Bank Alhajj A Z M Shamsul Alam, Managing Director Md. Habibur Rahman, Parents Representative of the School Md. Aowlad Hossain, Social Worker Md. Rafiqul Islam and Manager of AIBL Khilkhet Branch Md. Sharif Chowdhury.
Among others Chairman of School Committee Mr. Md. Abul Hossain, Senior Vice President and Head of AIBL Dhaka North Zone Manir Ahmad and Assistant Vice President Mr. Jalal Ahmed were present.
