Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited has donated Tk. 4 Lac as sponsorship money for Bangladesh Team in upcoming International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) to be held at Indonesia.
Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Samad (Labu) handed over the Cheque of said amount to Vice President of Society for the Popularization of Science, Bangladesh (SPSB) Munir Hasan in a
ceremony arranged at the Head Office of the Bank on 23 November 2016.
Directors of the Bank Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah and Md. Amir Uddin PPM were present as special guests. Managing Director (Current Charges) Kazi Towhidul Alam presided over the function. Among others, former Chief Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission Dr. Rezaur Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Diretcors of the Bank Md. Abdul Jalil, Md. Fazlul Karim, Muhammad Mahmoodul Haque, S. M. Jaffar, Executive Vice President Syed Masodul Bari, Executive Vice President & Company Secretary Abdul Hannan Khan, Senior Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah and other higher officials from the Bank were also present in the occasion.
