India must go beyond its traditional stated stand and not pursue a “one-friend policy” in Bangladesh. The ramifications for maintaining a hardened, soft approach towards the incumbent government could easily portray the UPA as divisive among the minority Indians in Bangladesh. India could do without the anti-India suspicion and resentment among ordinary Bangladeshis. These are turbulent times in Bangladesh. DCCI invites Indian businessmen to participate in DITF

President of Dhaka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Md Sabur Khan invited the Indian entrepreneurs to participate in the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) in January. Sabur Khan attended the inauguration ceremony of the India International Mega Trade Fair in Kolkata as guest of honour yesterday. The fair began on December 13 and will continue until December 23. Robi concludes dry run of Guinness Record attempt

 Robi Axiata Ltd, in partnership with the Bangladesh Army, successfully concluded a dry run for the creation of the world’s biggest Bangladesh Flag, at the National Parade Ground, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar on Saturday. The dry run was concluded with the participation of 8,000 volunteers solely from the armed forces. The dry run is the final step towards the creation of the largest human flag on the morning of 16th December with nearly 30,000 volunteers from the Bangladesh Army, school children, and the general population, comprising mostly of the youth and enthusiastic professionals.
