Youths are still illuminating the ray of hope

THE United Nations has recognised four Bangladeshi youths as "Real Life Heroes" to acknowledge their contribution to humanitarian services.

The honours were given by the UN marking the World Humanitarian Day on August 19, amid many elected people representatives, UP Chairman to Members of Parliament, and bureaucrats are blamed for embezzling fund allocated for poor. The recognition of the real heroes has come forth when pro-government politicians are propagating their claim of doing everything supporting people by bashing the political opposition. RAKUB sets Tk 2,850cr agri-loan to disburse  in NW region

To facilitate increasing crop production and enhance rural economy, Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) has set a target of disbursing agricultural loans worth Taka 2,850 crore in the country’s northwest (NW) region during the current 2020-2021 fiscal year . The specialised commercial bank will disburse the loans through its 383 branches in all 16 districts under Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions, AKM Sajedur Rahman Khan, Managing Director of RAKUB, told BSS here on Thursday. Target has also been set to recover loans of Taka 2,300 crore including classified loans worth Taka 785.23 crore and raise deposit collection to Taka 1,200 crore.
