On holidays, I would take out my laptop and sandwich myself between my parents, turning on an episode of “Patriot Act With Hasan Minhaj.” It became our evening routine — a way to connect through a show that was truly for us. Freedom Fighter Dr. Ali’s Death Anniversary

Tomorrow August 22, 2020, is the 32nd death anniversary of freedom fighter Dr. Syed Anwar Ali, the first organizer of Shawdin Bangla Betar Kendra at Kalurghat, Chittagong.  

This physician freedom fighter went to Agrabad Radio office on March 26, 1971 in a self driven pickup carrying his relatives, Chittagong Radio Announcer Kazi Hosneara, Electrical Engineers Ashiqul Islam and Dilip Chandra Das to broadcast "Bangabandhu's Declaration of Independence". They found the Agrabad radio station is closed and then he went to high radio official’s house, they refused to cooperate to open radio.
