Who would not like to save a little extra every month? The British Council recognises the importance of developing responsible spending habits among the youth to ensure sustainable economic growth and to combat poverty in densely populated countries.
In collaboration with the Daffodil family, Bangladesh Skills development Institute, EMK Centre and Bangladesh Bank, the British Council have celebrated Global Money Week (GMW) 2018 from 12-18 March 2018 with an array of activities. This year’s theme was ‘Money Matters Matter’.

A different Romeo and Juliet
The British Council has filmed the theatre “A Different Romeo and Juliet” performed by people with special needs and is screening the theater in six divisional districts of Bangladesh. This was the first ever theatre performed by the Bangladeshi casting with people with special needs, which was the outcome of a three-year project by the British Council in partnership with GRAEAE Theatre UK and Dhaka Theatre in Bangladesh to mark the 400 death anniversary of William Shakespeare.
