Jamaat to be banned by Wednesday: Anisul

The government of Bangladesh is set to ban Jamaat-e-Islami through an executive order by tomorrow, announced Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq on Monday.

“The Prime Minister has ordered me to take steps in this regard by tomorrow. When you ban any party, you have to do it through an executive order. VPNs increase cyber risk: ICT Minister

Sit-in at DMCH thwarted by police

Police on Tuesday blocked a silent sit-in demonstration by parents in front of the main entrance to Dhaka Medical College Hospital to protest against the killing of students and innocent people during the recent quota reform protests.
