Robi to share biometric device with Teletalk

Teletalk subscribers can now complete their biometric SIM registration/ re-registration using Robi’s devices. In this regard, Robi’s Managing Director & CEO, Supun Weerasinghe and Teletalk’s Managing Director, Gias Uddin Ahmed have signed an agreement today at the Posts and Telecommunications Division.

Hon’ble State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Division, Begum Tarana Halim, MP; Secretary for Posts and Telecommunications Division, Md. Faizur Rahman Chowdhury and Robi- Teletalk SigningBangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), Chairman, Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood were present at the signing ceremony. Teletalk’s GM, Sales and Marketing, Habibur Rahman; DGM, Regulatory and Corporate Relation; Md. Saifur Rahman were also present.

As part of the ongoing biometric Bio-metric based new registration and re-registration of SIM, Robi has taken adequate measures to ensure that Robi subscribers have convenient access to the process by deploying Bio-metric verification devices at key retailer locations across the country. The wide device coverage and capacity of Robi in this connection has provided a unique proposition for Robi and Teletalk to work together to drive the strategic objective of the Government of Bangladesh and make this initiative a success.

Robi’s Company Secretary and Executive Vice President (EVP), Regulatory Affairs, Mohammed Shahedul Alam; Vice President (VP), Communications and Corporate Responsibility, Ekram Kabir; VP, Corporate Affairs, Raz Sharif Shah Jamal and VP, Finance, Sanjib Kumar Ghosh were also present on the occasion.
