Bank Asia has declared 12.5% Stock dividend for the year 2017 at the 19th Annual General Meeting of the Bank held today (Monday, 14 May, 2018) at Dhaka Officers Club in the capital city Dhaka. Mr. A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank presided over the meeting.
With 12.5% stock dividend, the paid-up capital of the Bank would increase to Tk.1,110.03 billion. Vice Chairman Mr. Mohd. Safwan Choudhury, Chairman, Audit Committee of the Board Mr. Mashiur Rahman, Chairman, Risk Management Committee of the Board Mr. M. Irfan Syeed, Board of Directors Mr. Md. Shahajahan Bhuiyan, Mr. Md. Nazrul Huda, Mr. Dilwar H. Chowdhury, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Matiur Rahman (retd.), President & Managing Director Mr. Md. Arfan Ali and Company Secretary Mr. Md. Kamrul Hasan were present.
There was a large turnout of the shareholders in the annual general meeting. They expressed satisfaction at the overall performance of the Bank and approved the accounts for the year 2017. The meeting started in the morning with chorus of national anthem rendered by artists of Bank Asia and all the shareholders stood and lend voice to the national anthem.
