Carolyn Maloney, member of Congress Joint Economic Committee and the Bangladesh Caucus envisioned Hillary Clinton as the first US women president following the example of Bangladesh.
The US Congresswomen mentioned women empowerment in Bangladesh politics while talking about the Hillary’s campaign for the Presidential run.

Supporters of Hillary gathered in Battery Park, New York on Saturday to show support carrying banners that read ‘Ready for Hillary’.
Maloney spoke to reporters there and said that Democrats want to create history again by electing the first women US president. She mentioned that Democrats already created history once by electing the first African-American president back in 2008.
“Not only is the Prime Minister in Bangladesh a woman but also the opposition leader and Speaker of the House. Two major political parties are headed by women. Bangladesh has set great examples in case of women empowerment. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now a global phenomenon in the realm of women empowerment,” said the congresswomen.
Former US president Bill Clinton’s wife Hillary had served as the Secretary of State under the Obama-administration till 2013.
The official announcement regarding presidential candidacy has not yet been made but already $50 million was raised for her campaign from supporters, according to Maloney.
