Taj Group launches first Gateway Hotel in Kolkata
The Gateway Hotels & Resorts, part of the Taj Group, announced the launch of The Gateway Hotel EM Bypass Kolkata. This will be the first Gateway branded hotel in Kolkata and the second Taj hotel after 24 years post the launch of Taj Bengal in 1989.
The Gateway Hotels & Resorts caters to the upscale segment and has expanded its footprint in Eastern India with this launch. With the opening of this hotel, The Gateway Hotels & Resorts now has 24 hotels in its portfolio, says a press release.

Chinese firm to build $22m textile plant in Ishwardi EPZ
Asia Spinning and Textiles Ltd, a Chinese textile firm will invest $ 22 million for the establishment of a new spinning and textile factory in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ) located at Pabna in Bangladesh.
The Chinese firm has signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZ) for setting up the plant at the EPZ, says a press release.

KrisEnergy ensures Tullow Bangladesh purchase
KrisEnergy Ltd has received approvals from the Bangladesh government and Bangladesh Oil, Gas & Mineral Corp. for KrisEnergy’s purchase of Tullow Bangladesh Ltd.
Tullow holds 30 per cent working interest and operatorship of the onshore Bangora gas producing field on Block 9, which is 50 km east of Dhaka covering 1,770 sq. km.
Production started from Bangora field in 2006. The field lies in a gas province with substantial gas infrastructure, KrisEnergy said. Third-quarter gross production from the Bangora averaged 92.7 MMcfd of gas and 285 b/d of condensate.
