Banks to issue ‘Virtual Card’ to Apps developers  

Individual Apps developers will now be able to go for the billion dollar international mobile application marketplaces of mobile application like Google, Windows and Blackberry with their products, as the Bangladesh Bank allowed online payment of fees, reports BSS. In a circular Tuesday the BB allowed the International Credit Card (ICC) issuing banks to issue ‘Virtual Card’ to individual developers of mobile Apps and Games for online payment of different fees. “Certainly, it would create a big opportunity for our Apps developers who will now be able to use Apps stores of reputed online or mobile application marketplace for their products. . . ICT division had long been persuading the authorities concerned to it,” said ICT Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan.

Freelancers to Entrepreneurs development Program from May 11  

The government is going to launch formally ‘Freelancers to Entrepreneurs Development Programme’ in all 64 districts simultaneously on May 11 aimed at developing entrepreneurship on outsourcing. Centrally, Post, Telecom and Communication Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique is expected to inaugurate the programme at 11am at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, official sources said.
