Members of the Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) Teachers’ Association, vehemently denounce the current inhuman destruction committed by Israel against the civilian people of Palestine.
The unjustified bombing attacks, forced displacement, destruction of homes and property, and blockade of essential fundamental resources have led to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, brutally violating basic human rights and international laws, according to a press release.
The mass killing of innocent civilians, including children, infants, and women, the destruction of hospitals, schools, and masques, and the restriction of food, shelter, water, and medical aid are exacerbating the humanitarian crisis for the Palestinian people.
Are we living in a civilized global world? Is this justice? This is tantamount to systematic oppression and unacceptable ethnic cleansing. We, the people of Bangladesh, cannot remain silent while Palestine burns and bleeds. We believe that no peace-loving nation can tolerate such misconduct.
The world’s ‘Superpowers’ and the UN (United Nations) have failed to establish global peace and harmony, focusing instead on expanding trade and business. We urge the international community to take immediate and decisive action to stop the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Who gives them (Israel) the right to commit mass killings and genocide, when we all share the same earth? As a nation, we uphold the philosophy of our National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
His philosophy inspires us to resist oppression and advocate for human dignity beyond borders. We call upon all peace-loving individuals and nations to raise their voices to stop the genocide in Palestine and reclaim the independence of the Palestinian people.
