Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) opened its 309th Branch at Banani, Dhaka. Anisul Haque, Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation inaugurated the branch on November 15, 2016, Tuesday as chief guest. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, Prof. Syed Ahsanul Alam, Chairman, Executive Committee, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman Audit Committee, Md. Abdul Mabud, PPM, Chairman, Risk Management Committee, Md. Joynal Abedin, and Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim, Directors of the bank addressed the program as special guests.

Md. Mosharraf Hossain, EVP and Head of Development Wing, Md. Kawsar Ul Alam, EVP and Head of Dhaka North Zone of the Bank along with a number of local businesspersons, professionals, and social elites attended the program.
On the occasion of inauguration of 309th Banani Branch, a seminar on ‘Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking System’ was held on November 14, 2016. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, M. Azizul Haq, Vice Chairman was the chief guest and Md. Joynal Abedin, Director was special guest in the seminar. Md. Kawshar Ul Alam, EVP and Head of Dhaka North Zone presented keynote paper in the seminar. Dr. Md. Manzur-e-Elahi, Member, Shariah Supervisory Committee of the bank and Md. Masum Billah, Khateeb, Banani Central Mosque presented discussion on the topic.
