Oxford books at EDU

Oxford, one of the world-best universities, has vouchsafed a number of rare books to East Delta University, Chittagong, for the cause of research. An auspicious event was made on April 1, 2015 at Sent Cross College of United Kingdom (UK) where Sayeed Al Noman, founder vice chairman of EDU, received the books, while Sheila EDU, PHOTO-ChittagongAllcock, the Librarian was present as a chief guest.

Susan Berrington, Director, Development and Alumni Relation of the College, was also present among others.

“This has solidified our already existing ties between EDU and Oxford”, said Sayeed Al Noman. This consignment comprises volumes of encyclopedia, dictionaries and atlases published from Oxford University Press. The students and faculty members use these resource books to enrich their academic and research knowledge.

The books skirt round the arenas of English literature, business, economics, engineering, social business, social sciences, political science, anthropology, public administration, mass communication, philosophy, European history and art.
