PBL donates Tk 10 lakh for autistic baby

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Ltd. has donated Tk. 10 lac to Society for the Welfare of Autistic Children (SWAC). Md. Abdul Halim Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank Ltd. handed over the donation Cheque to Nasima Begum,ndc, Secretary,Ministry of Women & Children’s Affairs. Eng. Anwar Hossain, Chairman & Suborna Chakma, Secretary of SWAC and Shahid Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank Ltd. were present at the ceremony.

SWAC is a non-government, non-political, non-profit and voluntary organization. The aim of Pubali donated to SWACSWAC is to develop excellent facilities for the special education, training and rehabilitation of individuals with autism within a structured, happy and caring environment allowing them to grow in confidence and independence, to feel safe and secure and to achieve their maximum potential.

Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank Ltd. Md. Abdul Halim Chowdhury citing this noble endeavor and expressed that Pubali Bank is not only doing business for achieves profit but also has the social responsibility. For this purpose in hand the bank has donated Tk. 10 lac to SWAC to develop autistic children to their fullest potential. He also said that to develop excellent facilities for the special education, training and rehabilitation of individuals with autism within a structured, happy and caring environment allowing them to grow in confidence and independence, to feel safe and secure and to achieve their potential and for this the bank extends their hands to SWAC, a voluntary organization for the distress people.
