Prominent banker, one of the pioneers of Islamic banking in Bangladesh, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Limited (PBL), present Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, M. Azizul Haq passed away at the Combined Military 
Hospital (CMH), Dhaka at 8.00 am on Thursday, November 12, 2020, while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun).
The Board of Directors of Pubali Bank Limited and all levels of executives, officers and employees have expressed deep grief over his death. They have prayed to Almighty Allah for the forgiveness of the departed soul. The Pubali family extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased.
