The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Wednesday with a record 78.33 percent pass rate.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban at 10am.
A total of 70,602 students achieved the highest grade point average (GPA)-5 in this year’s HSC examinations.
Some 1,147 colleges came out successful with cent percent pass.
The minister will formally announce the results at a press briefing at his office at 1pm.
All the examination centres and educational institutions have been asked to collect the results from their respective education boards through websites.
The institutions concerned have been recommended to using their respective EIIN numbers to download the results through the webmail available at this website: www.educationboard.gov.bd.
The examinees have been asked to collect their results from their respective institutions, or from the websites of their respective boards.
This year, five parameters—percentage of regular students passing the exam, percentage of passing students, percentage of students getting GPA-5, number of examinees and the average GPA of the institutions—have been used to determine top educational institutions.
Any application seeking reevaluation of the results can be submitted from August 14 to August 20 through SMS.
