Robi observes Safety Week

As a responsible corporate entity, Robi organized a Safety Week to raise awareness on safety concerns affecting the employees.

A number of events were held across the company to sensitize the employees on safe work practices within the organization. Awareness building session on Hazard Identification was organized in Dhaka and the regional offices of the company. A competition was organized for 20150910_165542employees to identify potential hazards in the workplace. All the hazards identified through the competition were immediately addressed by the Safety team.

As part of the Safety Week, First Aid training was imparted to the employees across the company. Besides, a quiz competition was held to raise awareness on the Road Safety, Hazard Identification, Fire Safety, Health Safety Policy and principles. Robi employees took part in the quiz competition by answering the Quiz question through SMS. In addition, all the senior management team members had addressed Robi employees urging them to consider individual safety as a priority matter.

The Safety Week concluded with a session on Road Safety. The session was conducted by renowned movie star and lifelong activist for championing the cause for road safety, the Chairman of ”Nirapad Sarak Chai” – Elias Kanchon.
