Shakib Al Hasan tests Covid-19 positive

Shakib Al Hasan, an allrounder of the Bangladesh National Cricket team, tested positive for the Covid 19. After receiving a Covid positive report, he has taken shelter in his Dhaka house in isolation. The Bangladesh all-rounder will not be able to play in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Dhaka because he had a corona attack.

Shakib and his family travelled to America to celebrate their holidays. As soon as he returned from there, he was due to join the Bangladesh Test squad in Chittagong on Wednesday morning. Shakib’s corona has already been evaluated before. That’s where the report’s favourable findings come into play. The first Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held at Chittagong on May 15. The most experienced cricketer in the squad will be unable to play in that particular Test match.
