More higher-skilled jobs top priority for Bangladesh
World Bank (WB) Senior Vice President and Chief Economist Kaushik Basu said here Sunday creating more higher-skilled jobs was a top priority for Bangladesh.
The chief economist also commended the country's remarkable development progress.
Basu made his observations while meeting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He praised Bangladesh's efforts to create more and better jobs, a prerequisite for reducing poverty and boosting shared prosperity.
Since 2003, the country has been able to create 14 million higher-value jobs and bring more women into the workforce, which has lifted millions of people out of 
Photo exhibition on Liberation War at SUST
A three-day exhibition of photos of news papers cutting during liberation war was started at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) on Monday.
Exhibition titled ‘Liberation war on news paper’ was inaugurated by the vice chancellor Prof Aminul Haque Bhuyan on campus at Arjuntola at around 4.00pm.
Shahjalal University press club organized the exhibition to inspire the young generation. More than 30 photos of news paper cutting on Liberation War, mostly collected from different sources including Dhaka University Central Library and Dhaka University Journalist Association, were displayed at the exhibition. The

ADB urges to develop capital market to spur economy
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) encouraged Bangladesh on Saturday to use the more than $553 million it has provided so far in loans to develop a capital market and attract private investors.
Bangladesh aims to become a middle income country (MIC) by 2021.
