AIBL approves 15pc cash, 5pc stock dividend
Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. has approved 15% Cash and 5% Stock Dividend for the year ended on 31st December 2017 in its 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 24 May, 2018 at Al-Arafah Tower, Purana Paltan, Dhaka. The meeting was presided over by Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu, Chairman, Board of Directors of the Bank.

Eid notes from June 3
Bangladesh Bank (BB) will release new currency notes for Taka 10, 20, 50 and Taka 100 in the market ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr from June 3.
The new notes will be distributed from all branches of Bangladesh Bank across the country every day until June 14, said a press release here today.
The new notes distribution will remain closed in the government holidays, the release added.

World Health Assembly in Geneva
The 71st World Health Assembly began today with the aim to overcome barriers to ensure universal health coverage of the mankind across the world.
Swiss President Alain Berset officially inaugurated the WHO assembly at the UN building in Geneva, BSS reports .

HBRI gets final cabinet nod
The Cabinet has given final approval to the draft of the Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI) Act, 2017.
The approval was given in the weekly meting of the cabinet held at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, reports BSS.
