State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Department Tarana Halim, MP had visited Robi Sheba center at Gulshan 1 area today to assess Robi’s readiness in support of the government led initiative of introducing bio-metric SIM registration.
Hon’ble State Minister was accompanied by BTRC Chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood, BTRC Vice Chairman Brig. Gen. Ahsan Habib Khan, Retd and BTRC’s Director General for System and Services Division Brig. Gen. Md. Emdad ul Bari, ndc, psc, tc.
Robi officials had briefed the Hon’ble State Minister and the BTRC high officials about the steps taken by the company to ensure smooth bio-metric SIM registration for its valued subscribers during their visit. Hon’ble State Minister and the BTRC high officials expressed their satisfaction with Robi’s preparation in this regard.
Hon’ble State Minister later on shared her views with the journalists about the implementation of the biometric SIM registration by the operators and answered their questions in this relation.
