A fraction of teachers of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) demanded urgent syndicate meeting to Vice Chancellor Md. Aminul Haque Bhuyan on Wednesday 19th August 2015.
Teachers under the banner of ‘General Teachers’ leaded by the Dr. Kabir Hossain president of Shahjalal University Teachers Association (SUTA) organized a rally on campus at about 
12.00pm, paraded the whole campus rally gathered in front of the Administrative Building demanding syndicate, academic council, up-gradation-promotion of teachers and committee for the upcoming admission test.
Speakers said over the program, teachers are deprived from their nominal rights like up-gradation-promotion etc. but they are still trying to run the campus, attending to the classes.
They urge to solve this problem by meeting in syndicate as soon as possible.
Earlier, the education minister Nurul Isalm Nahid gave an order to the SUST Vice Chancellor Md. Aminul Haque Bhuyan not to do other activity except routine work.
SUST is still in crises marking its ongoing VC’s removal movement under the banner of ‘Mohan Muktijuddrer Chetonai Udbuddho Shikkhak Parishad’, a fraction of pro-Awami league teachers of SUST.
