Although digital technology has in many ways changed the way we approach love, certain things remain unchanged. It is still seen as an intimate journey of two souls yearning for the affection of the other. However, technology can still help us to take our experience with love to another level.
Leading mobile phone operator has done just that with the introduction of immersive virtual reality experience technology in this Valentine’s Day. Journey of love took on a whole new meaning when the couples at North South University (NSU) mounted tandem bikes to race around the city of love- Paris. It immediately grabbed huge attention from the couples as they flocked around and enjoyed every bit of this amazing technology.
Two tandem bicycles were customized and equipped with the latest technology, where two couples raced to reach the Eiffel Tower in Paris. A curved 30 feet cyclorama screen added a new dimension to it as the couples experienced the beauty of Paris in all its glory. The virtual city of Paris with magnificent lights and fireworks made this journey of love worth remembering for a long time.
A leaderboard was maintained which was updated every hour. Every hour, couple who took the least amount of time to reach the Eiffel Tower in Paris was awarded with attractive gift pack from Robi. Crowd went into frenzy with loud cheers for couples to paddle even faster.
Encouraged by the warm reception of the technology, Robi is planning to take the technology to many more university campuses in the coming months. Interested people can visit Robi Facebook page to get updates on such events.
