A conference title on “Contemporary Biomedical Research in Bangladesh” held at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan Auditorium of Jahangirnagar University yesterday.
In association with Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), the Biochemistry and Molecular Biotechnology department organised the daylong conference-said a press release.
Around at 10.00 am, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Farzana Islam inaugurated the programme as chief guest while
Pro-VC Abul Hossain was present as special guest. At the inaugurating programme, JU VC Prof. Farzana Islam said, I would like to say that it will help to protect disease and to ensure health management.
She also said that this conference will be effective contribution to students, researchers and policy-makers, in the future planning and implementation their projects.
Prof. M Anwar Hossain, a teacher of Microbiology department of Dhaka University delivered key note while he underscored on the development of biomedical research and health condition’s thinking.
At the scientific session, director of (HEQEP), Dr. Goranga Chandra Mohanta, Prof. Abdul Jabber Hawlader, dean of Biological Faculty, Project manager Prof. Shohail Ahmed, Prof. Sharif Aktaruzzaman, teacher of DU, Prof. S M Bodiar Rahman, Prof. Shahadat Hossain, Prof. Nazibur Rahman, were also delivered speeches while Prof. Sabir Hossain chaired the programme.
