Comilla University (CoU) organised a freshers’ reception program at its campus on Sunday to welcome the newly enrolled students under 2017-18 session. Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was the chief guest at the program with Prof Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury, Vice chancellor of CoU in the chair. Md. Abul Fazal, Deputy Commissioner of Comilla was the special guest while Deans, Provosts, teachers, stuffs, BCL CoU unit leaders, students of different faculties and people of the surrounding area were present.
Planing Minister Mustafa Kamal said, “I am a member of CoU family. I have dreamt CoU. I hope CoU will be fulfilled with academic and residential facilities”. He urged to change the name of CoU as Comilla Science and Technology University.
CoU VC Prof Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury said, “Its time for ours, its time for Bangladesh and its time for Comilla University. We should be united for more development. It’s time for CoU students to continue the practice of knowledge for reaching the climax of its success as like their ancestors.
A colorful cultural event was held in the afternoon.
