Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL0 opened its 311th Branch at Rajapur of Jhalakathi district. Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman Audit Committee of the bank inaugurated the branch on November 22, 2016, Tuesday as chief guest.
Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO, the program was 
addressed by Prof. Dr. Qazi Shahidul Alam, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Directors of the bank and Principal Muniruzzaman, Chairman, Rajapur Upazial Parishad as special guests. Shah Alam Nannu, Rajapur Upazial Muktijoddha Commander, Milon Mahmud Bacchu, former chairman, Rajapur Upazila Parishad, Zakaria Sumon, Vice Chairman of the Parishad, Principal Shahzahan Molla, General Secretary, Upazila Sports Council, and Principal Yousuf Ali Talukder business persons addressed among locals.

On the eve of inauguration the branch, a seminar on ‘Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking System’ was held on November 21, 2016. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman Audit Committee was chieg guest while Prof. Dr. Qazi Shahidul Alam, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Prof. Dr. Md. Sirajul Karim, Directors and Md. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan. FCA, Deputy Managing Director were present as special guests in the seminar. Md. Abdus Salam, Senior Vice President and Head of Barisal Zone presented keynote paper and Dr. Muhammad Abdus Samad, Member Secretary, Shariah Supervisory Committee presented discussion on the topic.
