The four-year anniversary programme of the 41st Batch under 2011-12 academic session of Jahangirnagar University (JU) began on Monday with much festivity and fanfare on the campus.
Securing slogan ‘Let’s dream a dream together’-the students of the batch arranged a three-day long programme including cheerful procession, dinner and discussion programme and mega concert.
Around 7.00 pm, JU Vice Chancellor Prof. Farzana Islam inaugurated the programme as the chief guest at the Selim Al Deen Muktomanch while Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman MP of Dhaka-19 was attended as the special guest.
A cultural programme was also held there performed by the students of the 41st batch.
Earlier, 41st year students brought out a cheerful procession from the Amar Ekushey sculpture premises.
Shah Alam Saju Pulok convener of the programme said to the correspondent that tomorrow (Wednesday) a mega concert will hold at the Selim -Al- Deen muktamancha where renowned artist Arnab is expecting to perform.
Iffat Jahan Khan Nova, treasurer of the programme said that more than 800 students already have completed their registration to participate the anniversary programme.
The Dan Cake is the title sponsor of the programme while rokomari.com, In Touch restaurant and Petrygas are the co-sponsor of the programme.
