Targeting the high school students to make them competent in the information communication and technology sectors with the slogan ‘Let them know, show yourself off’, the National High School Programming Contest 2016, organized by the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICT) of Bangladesh government and powered by Robi Axiata Ltd. held with a befitting manner at Comilla University on Tuesday. The department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the university conducted the program. Professor Dr Md Ali Ashraf, Vice-chancellor of Comilla University inaugurated the ceremony in the morning.
To mark the program, the organizers chalked out a schedule of programs including, programming test, ICT quiz contest, certificate and prize giving ceremony.
More than 700 students from 32 institutions around Comilla area participated in the contest. Later on, the participants attended a programming and ICT quiz contest.
In the program, Professor Dr Md Ali Ashraf, Vice-chancellor of CoU as a chief guest handed the certificates and prizes over the winners while Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Chairman of CSE department was present as the program president.
Among others, Professor Kundu Gupidas, Treasurer of CoU, Muhanmad Azizur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) of Comilla, Md. Ainul Haque and Dr Md Kazi Kamal Uddin, the president and secretary of Comilla University Teachers Association (CoUTA) respectively, Shahidul Islam, Comilla area manager of RObi Axiata Ltd and others were also present at the program.
