Japan likely to mediate resolving Rohingya crisis
Japan today proposed to play an active role as a mediator in Tokyo between Bangladesh and Myanmar to find a peaceful solution over Rohingya crisis.
“We (Bangladesh) will consider the proposal…. Japan has showed its political will to resolve the issue (Rohingya crisis),” Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told newsmen after a bilateral meeting with his Japanese counterpart Tara Kono at the State guesthouse, Meghna, here, reports BSS.

PM for formulation of master plan for development
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stressed the need for formulating a master plan to ensure planned development of the country protecting the water bodies, arabale lands and environment as well at the district, upazila and union level.
“We would have to pursue development at district, upazila and even in union level in a well-planned way after formulating a master plan,” she said while inaugurating seven housing development projects at the city’s Eskaton Garden Road area, reports BSS.

Myanmar reluctant in returning Rohingyas: PM
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today accused Myanmar of being reluctant in repatriating their over a million Rohingya nationals defying their promise and feared that some international aid agencies to tend to keep the crisis alive.
“The problem lies with Myanmar as they don’t want to return the Rohingyas by any means” though Naypyidaw signed an agreement with Bangladesh promising to repatriate them, she told a crowded press conference at her Ganabhaban official residence this afternoon, reports BSS.
