Japanese delegation meets DU VC

A four-member delegation led by Prof Dr Yoshio Maeda of Okayama University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Saturday at his residential office of the university. Other team members were Prof Dr Miyuki Yoshikawa, Dr Yasushi Iwabuchi and Dr Fukukk.

Director of the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies of DU Prof Dr Mahbuba Nasreen was present, among others,  on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and Okayama University, Japan. Exchanges of teachers, students and researchers between the two universities were also discussed in the meeting. They stressed the need for signing a MoU between Dhaka University and Okayama University to strengthen joint collaborative academic and research programs.
