YOLO Fest at JU

Airtel, the #1 network of friends, has recently arranged YOLO fest—a festival that celebrates the joys of music, friendship and fun with the youth. This colorful event took place at Jahangirnagar University (JU) with enthusiastic participation of the students.

More than 7,000 people attended the fest and enjoyed the music performed by the popular 3. PR Picturebands Artcell and Shironamhin. It was a day-long event starting off with a coupon tour of three different booths set up in the campus; namely- Airtel Store, Airtel Duniya and the Game Zone.

There were exclusive offers to purchase Airtel 4G SIM at the Airtel Store. Meanwhile first-hand demonstrations of Airtel’s popular apps- Iflix, MyPlan and BDApps were given to the attendees. The most attended booth was the Game Zone; it had the highest crowd enjoying VR games and basketball games.

The concert started with Artcell working up the audience with some of their famous tracks. Later on, Shironamhin took to the stage and performed their popular signature songs. The fest reached the crescendo moment with the concert in full-gear.


Airtel is a global brand of Bharti Enterprise of India- world’s third largest mobile phone operator in terms of subscriber base. Axiata Group of Malaysia and Bharti Enterprise of India had agreed to merge their respective operations in Bangladesh on January 28, 2016. Following the approval of the Hon’ble High Court of Bangladesh, Robi as the merged company began its commercial operation from November 16, 2016. As part of the merger between Robi and Airtel, Robi was granted license to use Airtel brand in Bangladesh for the customers having 016 number series.

Robi has introduced many first of its kind digital services in the country and has invested heavily to take its mobile network to the underserved communities even in the rural areas. Other shareholders in the entity are Bharti Airtel International (Singapore) Pte Ltd and NTT DOCOMO Inc.
