Much awaited Padma Bridge only 300 meters away

With the installation of 39th span today, only 300 meters will remain in hand to complete a 6,150-meter or 6.15 kilometers long much awaited Padma multipurpose Bridge. The span was installed over the pillars no. 10 and 11 at Munshganj’s Maowa point making 5,850 meters of the bridge’s main structure visible, said Executive Engineer Dewan Md Abdul Quader of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge Authority. “The rest two 40 and 41 spans will be installed within December 15,” he added. Robi takes strident steps towards sustainable growth

Riding on 9.7% revenue growth from last quarter, Robi ended the third quarter of this year with a profit of 38.9 crore taka. Consistent focus on innovation and analytics raised Robi’s revenue for the third quarter to 1,934 crore taka. Considering Robi’s effective tax rate of 77.06% for the first nine months of this year, the company’s profit of 116 crore taka for the period clearly indicates that Robi is run with excellent operational efficiency. Had it not been for the crushing 2% minimum turnover tax, this profit figure would have looked far more appealing.
