BUFT Pro VC visits universities of UK

Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) gave presentation to Undergraduate Students studying Fashion Design and Fashion Buying and Merchandising in lecture Hall of Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and as a keynote speaker in Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI) Students Conference titled “Fashion Revolution” in University of Huddersfield, UK in October and November, 2016.The topic of his presentation was “Readymade Garment Industry in Bangladesh: Prospects and Challenges”.

pic-2Prof Khan was on a one-month professional study and research visit programme to University of Bolton for researching on Technical Textiles under Charles Wallace Trust Fellowship Administered by British Council. His supervisor was one of the world renowned Technical Textile expert, Prof Dr Subhash Anand MBE.

The programme includes visit to universities like Cambridge University, Manchester University, University of Huddersfield, University of South Wales and London College of Fashion, studies the advancement in Textile Research, meet the university administrative heads, Alumni office, House of Commons etc. He discussed areas of possible research and educational collaboration with the universities of UK & BUFT for the development of RMG, Fashion and Textile education in Bangladesh.
