CoU BCL celebrates ‘Developing Country’ status

Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) Comilla University (CoU) unit brought out a rally on ‘developing country’ status on the university campus to celebrate the country’s great achievement on Sunday.

The rally started from CoU Administration Building. Then the rally were passing through the BCL CoUroads of campus and ended at Bangabandhu Memorial. Before that, BCL leaders from all residential halls of the university gathered on the campus with rally.

BCL CoU unit’s president Eleas Hosen Sabuj, general Secratary Rezaul Islam Majed, Teachers Accociation, Teachers of different faculties, stuffs, BCL CoU unit activists and leaders joined the rally.

BCL CoU unit’s president Eleas Hosen Sabuj said “It is a great achievement for Bangladesh and under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh will continue it’s development and within 2030, it will become a role model”.

Earlier, the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), a United Nations panel, made an announcement on the country’s eligibility at a meeting at the UN Headquarters in New York on March 17, 2018. Bangladesh has become eligible to graduate to a developing country from a least developed one as it has met all the three criteria for the first time for getting out of the LDC bloc.
