ICT Division, Robi and online school ‘10 Minute School’ are going to work together for promoting digital education in the country. A tripartite agreement was signed recently among these organizations at the Janata Tower Software Development Park at Karwan Bazar in the capital.
ICT Department’s Director General (Additional Secretary), Banamali Bhowmick; Robi’s Chief Corporate and People Officer (CCPO) Matiul Islam Nowshad and 10 Minute School’s Founder and CEO, Ayman Sadiq signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. State Minister for ICT Division, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP and ICT Division’s Secretary, Shyam Sunder Sikder were present on the occasion.
The agreement paves the way for the students of government’s 2001 digital labs and more than 30,000 multimedia classrooms across the country to access quality education content. This partnership is thus expected to add a new chapter in the country’s fast growing online education domain.
Under the agreement, ICT Division, Robi and 10 Minute School will also be offering Nano degree programmes in ICT Division’s training facilities and in the high-tech parks around the country. These Nano degree programmes are designed to help develop digital skillset of the students. Besides, Robi -10 Minute School will be introducing their digital education content to the youth taking part in the Learning and Earning Melas organized by ICT division.
Explaining his vision for this partnership, State Minister, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP said that: “Education is considered to be one of the key pillars of a nation. So, naturally, access to quality digital education content forms a key part of the process of realizing Digital Bangladesh.”
“In this connection I am very happy to see ICT Division partnering with the largest online education platform of the country- 10 Minute School and their sponsoring organization, Robi. We are confident that the combined strength of the partnering organizations will make tremendous contribution in digitizing the mode of imparting quality education in the country.”
Robi’s CCPO, Matiul Islam Nowshad said that “Robi firmly believes that the future of our youth lies in its ability to leverage on the benefits offered by the digital technology. Considering the country-wide reach of our network, we felt that it makes sense to impart quality digital education content over the internet for the benefit of our youth. Hence, we extended our support for 10 Minute School as part of our Corporate Responsibility initiative.”

We are confident that with the support and guidance from ICT Division and Robi, we will be able to just that for our youth.”
10 Minute School is the only site in Bangladesh through which students can learn from the tutorials (1,411 videos with over 7 million views) and live classes, practice from the given quizzes and model tests (28,455 quizzes), monitor their progress, compare with their peers and others, get every single information needed which otherwise isn’t available in the internet – all for free. The school also broadcasts live classes everyday using LIVE feature of Facebook.
