Drama ‘Nadaner Biye’ staged at IU

‘Bithi’, a theater of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia staged ‘Nadaner Biye’ drama to celebrate the 37th Founding Anniversary of IU.

The drama was staged at the Birsrestho Hamidur Rahman Central Auditorium of IU on natok-03Wednesday at 1.30 P.M

With the Direction of Wahiduzzaman Shawon, the drama was acred by Enamul Huque, Wahiduzzaman Shawon, Tarikul Islam, Atiqur Rahman Oni, Ashik Boni, Alpona Apon, Ansarullah Arif, Jhuma Akter and Tuhin.

The drama reflects the bad effects of early marriage, the cruel story of husband and mother in law to a bride and the evil side of the dowry system.

Gouchul Azam Rintu, Morshed Habib, Sohag, Abdur Rauf, Sharmin Akter, Raihan King Ripon, Zubair Munshi, Noman bin Bashar al-Kawthar, Taufiq, Masum, Arifa Sultana and Nazmul Haque Mahim assist in Drama to Stage successfully.

 

Dr Rabiul gets ‘Jatiyo Kobi’ Award

Associate Prof Dr Rabiul Hossain Anu of Bangla Department of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia got the ‘Jatiyo Kobi Smiriti Sommanona’ award for his outstanding contribution of conducting research on National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The award was handed over to Dr Rabiul at a program organized by ‘Agnibeena’ a Nazrul practice and research institution to mark the silver jubilee of a magazine namely “Sonali Din” held at Bangladesh Shilpakal Academy on November 20.

Dr Rabiul was awarded for his research published on the Book ‘Bangalir Jagoron’ which was published by ‘Musolman Shaittay Somiti’.

Earlier Prof Dr Rabiul got ‘Tarun Kobi and Lekkhok,’ award and ‘Mohakibi Modhushudhon Award’ given jointly by ‘HSBC and Kali O Kolom’ magazine.in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
