The Department of Economics of Jahangirnagar University (JU) will host a seminar on –‘Research in macroeconomics: Future prospects’ on 9th August here on the campus.
At around 9.00 am, the programme will be inaugurated at its Seminar Room, said a press release.
The Chief economist of Bangladesh Bank, Biru Paksha Paul is expected to attend the seminar as chief speaker while Prof. Amzad Hossain will chair it.
Before joining as the chief economist of Bangladesh Bank, Biru Paksha Paul was an Associated Professor of Economics Department of State University of New York at Cortland (SUNY Cortland).
