The Department of Media and Mass Communication (MMC) of American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a daylong auspicious program from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m titled “OPEN HOUSE Program” in AIUB FASS Building, Banani, Dhaka on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 to showcase the new media and technologies used in media and journalism education.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB Prof Dr. Charles C. Villanueva inaugurated the program and 
delivered his valuable welcome speech. Besides Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Prof. Dr. Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan, Advisor of Media and Mass Communication were also present and also delivered their valuable speech on the occasion.
The event highlighted the latest technology and best practices used in mass media communications and the digital arts industry. The OPEN HOUSE featured Print & Media Journalism, TV & Documentary Production, 2D & 3D Animation, Digital Photography, Video editing & Special effects. There was also a special exhibit on 3D Printing and the Virtual Reality experience throughout the day.
AIUB faculty members, high officials, students and distinguish guests, media personnel, representatives from different organizations were also present in the program. Mr. Nelson P. Udaundo and Ms. Rani Ellen V. Ramos, Lecturer (Animator) of the MMC Department coordinated the whole program with the support of AIUB Management. The Media Partner of this program was the Radio Shadhin 92.4 FM.
