Securing the slogan ‘Stop fighting, Let’s Negotiate’ the Jahangirnaar University Model United Nations Association (JUMUNA) will be hosted a three-day long conference on 27 to 29 August here on the campus.
Md Riyajul Karim, secretary general of JUMUNA, disclosed this at a press conference at the office room of JU Journalists’ Association (JUJA) at 2.30 pm on Tuesday.
At least 400 delegates from differents schools, colleges and universities at home and abroad will take part the conference, he said.
Director General Shaikh Siraj Md Asker also said ‘Jahangirnagar Model UN is a wonderful platform for students, who are willing to be a policy maker in the future. Negotiations, networking, policy making, public speaking etc. are the key skills, one can acquire from Model UN conference.’
To participate in the conference, students have to fill up online registration form through the link www.jumuna.org.
After submitting all information, registration will be confirmed. Then, participants have to pay the fees as a delegate. The last date of registration is August 22.
JU Vice Chancellor Prof. Farzana Islam and Officer-in-Charge of the United Nations Information Center M. Moniruzzaman and Nazrul Islam Babu MP for Narayanganj-2 will attend the programme.
The concluding ceremony will be held at Savar Golf Club, informed Md Riyajul Karim.
